Aaloo gobhi is most popular Indian vegetable,goes well with curry and chapattis.
Ingredients:
500 grams cauliflower florets
2 big potatoes peeled and cubed
1 tsp cumin seeds
Pinch of asafoetida(Hing)
2 tbsp ginger finely chopped
4 green chillies finely chopped
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp red chilly powder
2 tsp oil
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
salt to taste
Procedure:
1.Heat oil in a pan(or skillet)on medium level and put cumin seeds and wait until they crackle.
2.Now add pinch of hing in this and fry for 5 sec.
3.Add the ginger and green chillies and saute for about a minute.
4.Add the potato cubes and cauliflower. Mix well. Add the rest of the spices and salt to taste. Mix well and cook covered, on low level for about 15 minutes or till the potatoes and cauliflower are cooked.
5.Garnish with coriander leaves.
6.Serve hot with curry.
