How to prepare boondi at home


Boondi can be prepared easily at home using gram flour.This boondi can be used in boondi raita or preparing boondi ladoos or can be eaten as namkeen when mixed with some spices.Follow following steps to prepare round boondi.
1.Mix the 1 cup gram flour and 1/2 cup water and 1/2 tsp salt and make a smooth batter,the consistency of batter should be such that it should flow properly through the skimmer.
2.Heat 2 cups of oil in a skillet.
3.Place skimmer 1 1/2 inch from pan level(this is important otherwise boondi would not come round.
4.Now pour the batter over a skimmer(sieve with round holes).Round boondies will come in the oil.
5.Fry it for 3 min or till bubbles disappear from oil.
6.Remove these boondies from oil and put it over tissue paper to soak extra oil.
7.Boondis are ready to be used.
