How to prepare Khoya from Ricotta cheese.


Its easy to get khoya in India but in US it is a bit difficult.Its a helpful cooking tip for people to make nice Indian desserts using this cheese.Follow these simple steps to make khoya from Ricotta cheese.
1.Heat 1 tsp of butter in skillet.
2.Put ricotta cheese (15 oz/425 gm) in it and stir well(in medium flame)
3.Keep stirring till the cheese becomes dried.It will take around 10 minutes.
4.Now add 3 tablespoon of sugar(more or less as per taste) and keep stirring and cook for another 5 min on medium flame and let the mix completely dry.
5.Khoya is ready to make any dessert like mithai,gujia,pede,etc.
