These puris are enjoyed by everyone because of two reasons one,its very nutritious and another its tasty and a nice variation from the usual white colour roti.It goes well with both yoghurt or pickle.
Ingredients:
1 cup chopped spinach.
2 cup Wheat flour.
1-2 green chillies.
1 inch ginger.
1/2 tea spn cumin seeds.
OilSalt.
Method of Preparation:
1.Cook spinach in water for about 3-4mins. Do not add too much water, just add enough for
cooking the spinach.
2.Grind the spinach with chillies, ginger, salt and cumin seeds. If necessary, add the water used
for cooking the leaves,but do not make it too watery.
3.Add the paste to wheat flour and make into a stiff dough.
4.Divide dough into 20 equal parts.
5.Roll them out into round puris of 3 1/2" diameter each.
6.Heat oil in pan and fry one puri at a time.
7.Turn once.
8.Once both sides have been cooked ie fried into golden brown colour drain the oil from it.
9.Serve hot.
