Naan

Naan is the most famous indian bread that is commonly enjoyed in almost all parts of India.Commonly to make naan tandoor is required but to prepare it at home of almost same taste even Oven can be used.It can be enjoyed with chola,paneer,rajma or daal.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups of All Purpose flour (maida)
1/2 cup All Purpose flour for rolling
1 1/2 tsp dry yeast
3 tsp yogurt (curd or dahi)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
Pinch of baking soda
1 tsp of clear butter or ghee
3 tsp of oil
3/4 cup lukewarm water

Procedure:
1.Dissolve dry yeast in lukewarm water and let it sit for 6-7 minutes.
2.Now add sugar, salt and baking soda,oil,yogurt to the flour and mix well.
3.Add the yeast mixture and knead and form a smooth dough.
4.Now cover the dough and keep in a warm place for 3-4 hours. The dough will double in volume.
5.Preheat the oven to 500 degrees with baking stone for at least thirty minutes and then turn the oven to broil.
6.Knead the dough for about three to four minutes and divide the dough into eight equal parts.
7.Now roll each naan to 6 inch diameter.If required use flour so as to help in rolling.
8.Before putting the Naan in oven, lightly wet your hands and toss it between your palms and place onto your stone inside the oven.Place 2 naans at a time.
9.Place it for 2 to 3 minutes or until golden brown spots can be seen on its surface.
10.Now put butter or ghee whatever you like on its surface.
11.Serve it with Daal,paneer or chol
