"Roti" or "Chapatti" is an Indian flat bread.The Roti is made by rolling whole wheat dough and roasted on a flat Tava. Roti is the most popular bread in North, East, West and Central India, and is served with almost all Indian meals. Roti is eaten with all Indian vegetables and Curries.
Ingrediants:
2 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 1/2 cups water (or enough to make a dough)
Procedure:
1.Take flour.
2.Make a hole in flour and add water and mix it to make a smooth dough.
3.Knead for five minutes, cover with wet cloth and refrigerate for an hour.
4.Heat a flat pan until hot.
5.Devide dough in 6 parts and roll it to 6 inch diameter (3mm thick) and put into pan, cooking for one minute on either side.
6.Once turned press gently with a towel and it will puff up like a balloon.
7.Repeat the same for other 5 chapattis.
8.Serve hot with curries or Daal.
