Pakodi Kadhi


Pakodi kadhi is most famous indian curry which has its origin from Punjab.It goes really great with Chapattis.

Ingredients:
For Pakodi
1 cup Besan
4-5 Green chillies
Coriander leaves finely chopped
Salt to taste.
Pinch of asafoetida
2 cups oil for frying Pakodi

For Curry
3 tsp gram flour
2 cups of yogurt
Pinch asafoetida
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
3-4 Curry leaves
1-2 dried red chilly whole
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil for tadka

Procedure:
1.For pakodis mix all ingredients and 1/2 cup water and batter the mixture for 5 min.
2.Heat oil in pan (kadhai) and put batter with hand/spoon in hot oil.
3.The pakodis will form a shape of dumpling in hot oil in 1-2 sec.This gives an indication that the batter was batted properly and pakodis will come out soft.
4.Fry till they are golden brown.
5.Now for curry mix yogurt and gram flour in a vessel and mix it properly so that the gram flour is properly mixed and dissolved in gram flour.
6.Heat oil in pan,put mustard seeds in it and wait till they splutter.
7.Now add asafoetida in it, mix and add curry leaves and dried whole red chilly in it.
8.Fry it for 1 min.
9.Now add yogurt and gram flour mix in it.
10.Cook it for 15 min.
11.Now add salt to taste.
12 Put fried pakodis in it and cook it for another 2 min.
13.Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot with Chapattis
